“Evidence” was taken from the scene, but Josephson said that it wasn’t clear what caused the death. This probably won’t be known until toxicology tests are done, which could take up to a month.
Starr’s roommate told TMZ that he was using methadone to try to get clean and that he was also taking medication for anxiety, which he had been feeling “since his arrest last month.”

Mike Starr Arrests
Starr was arrested in Salt Lake City on February 17 during a normal traffic stop. Officers found that he had prescription drugs that he wasn’t supposed to have. These included the painkiller Opana, which is also called oxymorphone, and alprazolam pills, which are used to treat anxiety and panic attacks.
The officer also found that Starr had a separate arrest warrant for not showing up to his sentencing for a felony drug possession charge from 2003 in the 3rd District Court.
