Saban inked an extension with Alabama in June 2014 that will keep him on staff until the 2022 season. The new, improved arrangement was worth $55.2 million. Nick Saban Sells Tuscaloosa Home for $3.1 Million

Approximately $2.9 million was spent on a home for Saban and his wife Terry in Tuscaloosa in 2007. Saban donated $3.1 million to the Crimson Tide Foundation after selling his 8,700-square-foot home in 2013. As part of his agreement with the institution, Saban presumably kept his residence there after selling it.

The Crimson Tide Foundation was able to cover Saban’s home costs by making mortgage and tax payments on his behalf. The university previously acquired Bear Bryant’s home in a similar method, so this is not an uncommon occurrence.

Nick Burton has a history of property purchases in the North Georgia Mountains around Lake Burton. He bought a single house that was 9,600 square feet in size and sat on 1.7 acres of ground. With over 700 feet of lake frontage and surrounded by trees, this property is a dream.

Saban’s property was for slightly under $11 million at auction in 2013. He was able to sell this house and relocate without going too far. Nick’s family had a comparable lake house on Lake Burton that they owned at the time of the auction.
