The North Carolina man who allegedly attacked his girlfriend with a sledgehammer is out on bond after being accused of shooting three people, including a 6-year-old girl, after a basketball rolled into his yard. police in Tampa, Florida, said 24-year-old Robert Singletary shot and wounded 6-year-old Kinsley White and her parents on Tuesday night.

Ashley Hilderbrand finally met her husband for the first time on Thursday, according to Tracy Hilderbrand, who spoke to Fox News Digital. She reported that he had a broken rib, a punctured lung, liver damage, and abdominal trauma.
According to court documents, Singletary committed a savage sledgehammer assault on his 21-year-old girlfriend on December 2, 2022, and was released from jail on an unsecured $250,000 bond at the time of the shooting. An unsecured bond merely requires a written promise to appear in court as security.
According to the Gaston Police Department, Singletary hit his girlfriend over the head with a miniature sledgehammer before holding her hostage for more than two hours.

According to court documents, he has been charged with kidnapping, communicating threats, and assault with the intent to cause significant injury. Singletary ran away 600 miles south after the shooting in Gastonia.

After the ball landed in Singletary’s yard, neighbor Jonathan Robertson claims he saw the assault take place. According to Robertson, Singletary rushed into his house, acquired a gun, and opened fire, frightening the youngsters and sending the crowd running for shelter.
“As soon as I saw him coming out shooting, I was hollering at everybody to get down and get inside,” Robertson added. Wednesday, Ashley Hilderbrand said the ambush was “very scary” and that her daughter’s cheek had to be treated for a bullet fragment.
