On Wednesday night, someone was shot and killed in the Independence Plaza neighborhood of Kansas City.
Officer Donna Drake, a Kansas City police spokesman, said that officers were sent to the 800 block of Prospect Avenue just before 10 p.m. because someone had shot someone.
When police arrived, they found a man who had been shot, but they didn’t know his age right away. At the scene, he was said to be dead.
Drake said that homicide officers and people who work at crime scenes were sent to investigate. Wednesday night, police didn’t know anything about the suspect.
