Over 30 Stolen Pawn Shop Weapons Seized in Georgia Man’s Home

Last week, police arrested a guy after they found a lot of stolen guns in his home.

Officials from the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office said that on April 12, deputies, officers from the Mid-South Special Response Team, and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives all went to a house on Sheppard Drive to carry out a search order.

On April 5, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reported a break-in at Howard’s Pawn & Jewelry. This is when officials got the order.

Rontavious Jackson, a homeowner from Cordele who is 32 years old, had 31 stolen guns, one other gun, and several boxes of bullets, the investigation found.

Howard’s Pawn & Jewelry told the police that all of Jackson’s guns had been stolen. This was confirmed by the police.

Jackson was taken into custody and charged with 32 counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted criminal and one count of theft by receiving stolen property.

The tweet below verifies the news:

“I am very proud of our agency and how well our local and federal partners work together,” said Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock.

Investigations are still going on.
