On Tuesday, January 24, an event occurred in Harrisburg in which a pedestrian was struck and later died. The police are currently investigating this occurrence.
At approximately six o’clock in the evening, officers from the Harrisburg Police Department responded to a call of a pedestrian who had been hit on the 1600 block of State Street. Officers arrived on the scene to discover that a woman had been injured as a result of many vehicles colliding with her.
The woman was found to be in severe condition and taken to a nearby hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her wounds and died.
According to the findings of the preliminary inquiry, the woman crossed into the eastbound lanes of the street where she was struck by multiple vehicles. Officers conducted interviews with the people who were driving the automobiles, and the investigation is still ongoing at this time.
