Police Officer and His Wife Found Shot Dead at Home After He Missed Work

After failing to show up for work, a North Carolina police officer’s superiors discovered he and his wife shot to death in their house, according to the authorities.

According to Fayetteville Police Chief Kemberle Braden, when fellow officer Domingo Tavarez-Rodriguez failed to arrive at work at 6 o’clock on Friday, Fayetteville police officers went to his residence.

The tweet below confirms the news:

Braden explained to reporters at a press conference on Friday evening that his managers decided to visit him at home after he failed to show up for work and they were unable to reach him by phone.

Tavarez-Rodriguez and his wife, Yenitza Arroyo Torres, were both found shot dead inside their home in the River Glen area by responding cops, according to the police.

As the incident involves a Fayetteville officer, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has taken over the criminal investigation, according to the police department.

Braden stated that Tavarez-Rodriguez had served in the military and had been employed by the department since June 2021.
