On Friday, information on Sara Lee’s death from her time as a wrestler in the WWE was made public.
According to numerous accounts quoting the Bexar County, Texas, Medical Examiner’s Office, the “Tough Enough” winner who competed in NXT for almost a year committed suicide after consuming a fatal combination of booze and medications. She reportedly had alcohol, doxylamine, and amphetamines in her bloodstream when she passed away.
Lee was 30 years old.
“Sara lived for 30 years. And she lived a lot of beautiful moments in those 30 years,” Courtney White, Lee’s sister-in-law, told NBC News.
“Her death was a very short chapter in a very beautiful life. A chapter that needs no explanation or comments. Seven months ago today she left us and the details matter no more then, than they do now.”

A request for comment from Fox News Digital was not immediately answered by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Officer.
Terri, Lee’s mother, broke the news of her daughter’s passing in October.
“It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus,” Terri wrote. “We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn. We all need prayers especially Cory and her children.”
She also had a statement from WWE about her passing.
“WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of Sara Lee. As a former ‘Tough Enough’ winner, Lee served as an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and fans,” the company wrote at the time.

Lee took part in the WWE “Tough Enough” reality series, which was on its sixth season in 2015 and was designed to choose contestants for a WWE contract. Josh Bredl, who wrestled as Bronson Matthews, and she won the match.
The native of Hope Township, Michigan, initially went by the stage name “Hope” before returning to her real name. Prior to being sent to NXT, she received training at the WWE Performance Center. She continued to play for the company until her release in 2016.
In 2017, she wed the wrestler Wesley Blake, actual name Cory Weston.
