Late on Saturday night in Iowa City, a man suffered critical injuries in a gunshot close to the Clock Tower Parking Ramp.
Around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to the Clock Tower Parking Ramp at Iowa and Gilbert Streets after hearing several gunshots. According to police, a number of others also contacted 911 to report that someone had been shot.

The man was discovered near the parking ramp on a sidewalk along Iowa Avenue. He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for critical injuries after receiving aid from fire departments and paramedics, according to the police. His identity has not been made public.
