We know the British spy series “Slow Horses” will be back for a second season, but Apple has been rather quiet about the facts so far. Season 2 has already begun production, according to director James Hawes, who spoke with TheWrap about the Season 1 conclusion. Neither he nor Netflix has indicated who will be taking over as director for the remaining six episodes.
There was a happy ending: Hassan and Slough House were exonerated; Di Taverner got away with it (kind of), and everyone survived to fight another day. Except for Sid Baker, who was shot in the head and subsequently “disappeared” by MI5.
If you’ve enjoyed this darkly comedic spy thriller, you’ll be eager for the next instalment, which is on its way. It’s a sign of Apple TV+’s enormous faith in the service, and it’s a good sign.

Slow Horses Season 2 cast
There’s no way Olivia Cooke will come back in Season 2 for the reasons stated above unless Dead Lions is adapted looser than Slow Horses. However, all of your other favourite Slough House and Regents Park landmarks are present but misplaced:
• Jack Lowden as River Cartwright: His real name is Jack Andrew Lowden. The BBC miniseries War & Peace, which he starred in in 2016, was his first major international cinematic triumph, leading to starring parts in feature films. Eric Liddell was played by Lowden in the London production of Chariots of Fire in 2012.
• Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb: Oldman is an English actor and director born Gary Leonard Oldman. With a resume that includes an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and three BAFTAs, he is well-regarded for his range and intensity as an actor.
• Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish
• Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho
• Dustin Demri-Burns as Min Harper
• Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy
• Kristin Scott-Thomas as Diana Taverner
• Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright
• Freddie Fox as “Spider” Webb
• Samuel West as Peter Judd
Assuming the authors aren’t being sloppy, Antonio Aakeel’s Hassan and his captors aren’t coming back.
Rade erbedija joins the cast as Nikolai Katinsky, a former Russian operative, which we presume he is.
Another two new Slough House recruits, Marcus Longridge and Shirley Dander will be revealed soon. Aimee-Ffion Edwards from Peaky Blinders and Kadiff Kirwan from This Are Going to Hurt have been cast in the programme, according to Variety, and those two parts are the most logical ones for them.
Slow Horses Season 2 Plot
Slow Horses is a Gary Oldman tour de force that had me on the edge of my seat from the first frame of Ep1 to the last frame of the Season 2 Trailer, which auto played after the final ep. pic.twitter.com/EZj7v8yFuu

The following contains minor spoilers, based on the premise that Dead Lions will have a second season.
An unidentified person boards the train and later the bus with Dickie Bow, an ex-low-level informant for Jackson Lamb. By using his desperate team and Cold War secrets buried deep in the ruins of the Soviet Union, Lamb tries to uncover the truth behind the death of Bow, who had died of natural causes.
Since they are espionage secrets, the UK is soon confronted with a very real threat.
Slow Horses Season 2 Release Date
Considering that the actors and crew shot two seasons in a row, Apple can release the second season at any time now that all bets are off. Waiting a year is unnecessary.
Though it’s unlikely that Apple will rush into production on a third season if the first season’s audience reception is strong.
The second season will most likely be released halfway between the first and third season’s scheduled release date if this happens. As of now, we’re looking towards the latter part of 2022.
Slow Horses Season 2 Trailer
The second season of Slow Horses has already been filmed, therefore a release date and trailer will be available very soon. Since you can think about the first season, you’ll be able to focus on it.
