The Los Angeles Police Department was looking for a person who stole a car in the Echo Park area on Saturday night.
The car, a Honda CR-V, was sometimes seen going up to 80 miles per hour on public streets, swerving into other lanes of traffic, and running red lights.
Police said that the chase started in Mid-Wilshire just before 11 p.m.
The car briefly stopped in the parking lot of what looked like an apartment building on N. Alvarado Street and Branden Street in the Elysian Heights neighborhood. One person got out and ran away on foot.
