Suspects Sought in Chipotle Fight Over Extra Cheese

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering money for information that leads to the arrest of two people who tried to shoot someone in a restaurant.

On Tuesday, a robbery alarm went off at Chipotle at 488 S. High St. in the Brewery District, and the police got a call about it.

The police say that two restaurant customers got angry when they got their food because they wanted more cheese. Police said that the two suspects “cornered one employee and ripped her hat off,” so other workers stepped in to help their coworker.

A fight broke out in the restaurant, and police say that one of the suspects pulled out a gun while the other kept saying, “Shoot them.” The gun didn’t work, witnesses told the police.

People say that the suspects then threw chairs and trash cans inside the restaurant and stole a phone from someone who was there before running away, leaving the extra cheese behind.

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who knows anything to call them at 614-461-TIPS, use the free P3 Tips mobile app, or give information online at www.stopcrime.org. All tips to Crime Stoppers are kept secret, and the reward is given using a special code.
