Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who defended Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira, who was detained on Thursday for allegedly leaking Pentagon documents, was criticized by Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) for her remarks.
The biggest traitor America has ever seen is siding with McCarthy’s top lieutenant, Swalwell claimed in a tweet on Thursday. I apologize, Marge, but being white, a man and a Christian does not give you the right to desert your nation and endanger the lives of millions of people.
It wouldn’t be the first time, either, that she had sided with traitors. In response to Greene’s own comments on Teixeira’s arrest, Swalwell made his own statements. Jake Teixeira is antiwar, white, male, and Christian.
As a result, Greene declared him to be hostile to the Biden administration in a tweet. Ask yourself: Who is my true foe? A junior national guardsman? Or the government that is waging war in Ukraine, a non-NATO country, against a nuclear-armed Russia without the ability to use force?

According to the Justice Department, Teixeira, 21, was arrested by the FBI on Thursday. His arrest comes as a number of purported Pentagon documents have surfaced online recently, some containing private information on NATO and U.S.
support for Ukraine in the midst of that nation’s ongoing war with Russia, and others containing data allegedly gathered through espionage on allies like Israel and South Korea. Teixeira, according to the New York Times, was in charge of the Discord group where the documents were distributed.

Attorney General Merrick Garland suggested Teixeira might be charged for violating the Espionage Act in a statement. “Today the Justice Department arrested Jack Douglas Teixeira in connection with an investigation into alleged unauthorized removal, retention, and transmission of classified national defense information,” Garland stated.
Separately, the FBI stated that over the previous week, it had “aggressively pursued investigative leads” and that the arrest “exemplifies our continued commitment to identifying, pursuing, and holding accountable those who betray our country’s trust and put our national security at risk.”
