1. Go to our website and click “ACTIVATE.” Then, follow the steps to turn on your TracFone.

2. Just go to https://www.tracfone.com/ and choose “ACTIVATE” from the list of options.

3. Choose the type of device you want to activate: I Have a Tracfone Phone, I’m Bringing My Own Smartphone, or I Have Other Devices.

4. Now, choose the right option and press the Continue button.

5. Type in the IMEI, MEID, or serial number of your device and agree to the Terms and Conditions. (The red Activation card that came with the device has the IMEI, MEID, or Serial Number.)

Now, choose the Plan you want to use and press the Continue button.

7. Now enter your Device details.

8. Finish the process and click the “Activate” button.

The phone will then be turned on. Most places will have your service up and running right away. In some other places, it may take up to 24 hours.

Please give the test call another 24 hours and then try it again. You may have called before the Customer Care Center was able to turn on your phone. If the problem keeps happening and you keep getting a recorded message, call our Customer Care Center at 1-800-867-7183 from a phone that isn’t your TracFone. A representative will help you fix the problem.

Due to a problem with technology in your area, the number that was given to your wireless phone when you turned it on may not match the number that is shown on your phone. Please use the number you were given when you turned on your wireless phone as your phone number.

How Do I Know Which Sim Card To Use From My Tracfone BYOP Activation Package?

You can find out by sending the message *5G to 611611. You can also find out by looking at network coverage maps that will be posted on our website.

For the current version of 5G, you can use your current SIM card to connect to 5G services. If the way the network is set up changes, you will need a new SIM card. If this is the case, we will let you know ahead of time via SMS and email.
