At least three separate gunshots occurred around Boston on Sunday night, leaving four people wounded and two de@d, authorities said. One of two people shot in Mattapan has d!ed, officials said. There was another gunshot at an “unknown location,” and the victim drove himself to the hospital, where he was pronounced de@d.
A fourth person was shot in the downtown area and voluntarily went to the hospital for treatment of what police described as non-life-threatening wounds. Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox told reporters near the Mattapan site that “tonight we had a pretty violent night in the city,” according to an audio recording supplied by the Boston Police Department.
“It’s very early in the investigation and we’re not exactly sure how they’re related if they’re related at all,” he said of the sh**tings. Boston Police Superintendent Felipe Colon told reporters that officers responded to 66 Wildwood St. in Mattapan at 8:32 p.m. after receiving a report of a sh**ting and found two men with gunshot wounds. Boston EMS rushed the two men to the hospital.
