The sci-fi comedy series “Upload” returns to Amazon Prime Video with season 3. The group said this on Instagram. Find out everything we know about the new shows so far below.

Upload Season 3 Release Date: Speculation!

Well, folks, it’s official: the latest season is no longer being made. I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’ve been cheated by this news. Some publications have said that the new season might come out in the first three months of this year, but let’s be honest: there’s no truth to that. Really, I can’t figure out how anyone could believe such nonsense.

The post below confirms the news of the return of Upload Season 3:

Don’t get me wrong—I’m not saying that the new season won’t come out this year. I’m just saying that it probably won’t be here until the end of 2023. This show’s post-production takes forever, and that’s just the cold, hard truth, my friends.

For example, Season 2 was finished in April 2021, but it didn’t come out on Prime Video until March 2022. That’s 11 months of post-production, which is a lot! If Upload Season 3 wrapped up in November 2022, it’s not too much to hope that the new season will come out in October 2023.

Now, give me a chance to explain: this could also help the schedules of other shows. For example, The Wheel of Time is another huge fiction series that fans have been looking forward to. It should also hit the big screen this year, maybe in the summer. Then, Upload could come out in the fall, which would keep subscribers on the platform and satisfy our hunger for big material.

Overall, it’s annoying to have to wait so long for new shows, but we can take comfort in the fact that the content is good enough to make the wait worthwhile. Let’s hope that the powers can do their magic soon and give us a great new season.

Upload Season 3 Cast

There are three important people in Upload, so you can expect all of them to return.

Robbie Amell plays Nathan, a tech genius who died and is now (kind of) back to life and living in the real, non-virtual world. Nathan is the main character of the show.

Then there’s his girlfriend. Nora, played by Andy Allo, works in virtual reality. Her father told her to join The Ludds, a group that is against technology. She has shown herself to be a good boss, though, and is now close to the top of the anarchist group.

Ingrid, Nathan’s ex-girlfriend (played by Allegra Edwards), is still trying to keep him around and will go to any lengths to do so. She spent most of season two in a tricked-out scuba suit in a bathtub, pretending to upload into the virtual Lakeview world so she could stay close to him. This makes it clear that she can live in Lakeview.

If we go back to Lakeview, we’ll probably see more of Kevin Bigley, who plays Nathan’s “best friend” Luke, and Owen Daniels, who plays the AI Guy who has been there for a long time and whose face is literally everywhere in the system.

Variety says that Jeanine Mason has joined the cast of Upload for its third season.

Why Does Upload Season 2 Only Have 7 Episodes?

You’re not the only one who wonders why Season 2 of “Upload” only had seven shows instead of ten like Season 1. Robbie Amell, who plays Nathan on the show, said that shooting was harder and took more time because of the pandemic.

“It took the same amount of time to shoot seven as it would have to take to shoot 10,” he told Digital Spy. “So it just took longer because of COVID’s rules, tests, and having to put people into different groups.” But he also said that the show’s author, Greg Daniels, had a clear idea of how the story should go and didn’t want to drag it out for no reason.

“The number of episodes should be based on the story, not the number of episodes,” Amell said he said. We think that’s a wonderful way to tell a story!
