Victim of Easter Shooting in Worcester Dies From Injuries

A 24-year-old guy from the area who was shot on Dorchester Street on April 9 has died from his wounds.

Authorities say that police arrived at the spot at about 1:15 that morning.

Officers found a white Infiniti with a gunshot victim in the front seat near the corner of Barclay and Dorchester streets. Officers helped the person until the ambulance came and took him to the hospital.

Izaiha Quintal, 20, of Kenyon Avenue, was taken into custody by police after a probe.

Quintal was charged with armed assault with the desire to kill, having a gun without a license, having bullets without an FID Card, firing a gun within 500 feet of a home, and giving false information to the police. Most likely, the charges will get worse now that the victim has died.

It is the first murder of the year in the city.
