Who Is Steven Piet? Viewers of Netflix’s The Kissing Booth have seen Joey King’s character, Elle Evans, fall in love, but the actress’ personal life in this area is kept under wraps.

King’s character, Gypsy Rose Blanchard, appears in an episode of The Act that Piet directed. In addition to being a co-executive producer on The Act and Briarpatch, he also co-wrote and directed the independent film Uncle John in 2015.
In an interview published in Vanity Fair in 2019, Piet discussed the series finale of The Act, saying, “In my opinion, the director’s role is to get out of the way as much as possible so that the performers may shine. He attended Savannah College of Art and Design after being born in Chicago, where he studied film. Piet returned to his hometown after finishing college and found work in the local film industry.

They’ve gone on multiple road trips together, Piet and King. Photographs from a road trip were posted to King’s Tumblr in March 2021, along with the caption, “We went on a road trip, and GOLLY WE HAD FUN!”

King discussed her time spent on set with her future husband while filming The Act in an interview for the July 2022 issue of Allure. She said, “We work incredibly well together.” “We enjoy each other’s company immensely and can never get enough of it.
It’s great that we can spend time together doing something that appeals to both of us. I really admire his talent. In his mind, I’m just as good as he is. We gain a lot of pleasure from engaging in simple mental collaboration.”
