Woman S*xually Assaulted During Carjacking Scheme

During a series of attempted carjackings in northern New Castle County on Friday morning, a woman was raped.

Delaware State Police say that several cars were hit from behind in an effort to get the drivers out so that the cars could be stolen.

From what we know so far, there were two men driving a black Jeep in an area north of Wilmington.

The first thing that happened was around 6:45 a.m. near Centreville, where Thompsons Bridge and Guyen Court roads meet. Investigators say that’s when the men hit the victim’s car from behind and ran away before cops arrived.

The victim was taken to a hospital nearby because she had minor injuries from the crash.

At about 7:10 a.m., there was a second accident in Pennsylvania. During this incident, cops said that the same car as before hit a woman’s car from behind. The woman drove into Delaware for a short distance and stopped to look at the damage.

When she got out of her car, one of the suspects pushed her back into it by pointing a gun at her. Police say that the shooter then got into her car and drove her back to Pennsylvania.

The second man followed the victim’s car back into Pennsylvania, where she was sexually attacked, according to police. A person who lived close by helped the woman get away and call the police.

The men ran away and went back to Delaware, where they met two other people in the parking lot of a nearby convenience store, according to the police.

The cops saw a black Jeep that was parked next to a red Nissan Pathfinder. When cops tried to talk to the people inside the Jeep, they said the Jeep drove away.

The Jeep was able to get away after a short chase.

Around 9:30 a.m., near where I-95 and Marsh Road meet, a car hit the back of a Nissan Pathfinder that was stopped near a Jeep. During this incident, police said a gunman pointed a gun at a victim and fled the scene prior to police coming.

That Victim Was Not Harmed

A short while later, police saw the red Pathfinder near Naamans Road on southbound I-95.

As the cops were giving chase, the Pathfinder hit a Mercedes on southbound I-95 near Concord Pike.

Both suspects ran away on foot, but they were caught not long after.

The driver of the Mercedes was not hurt,
