Christopher Salmon succumbs to gunshot wounds in a tragic incident under investigation by LMPD’s Homicide Unit.

Louisville, Ky., A devastating shooting in Louisville’s Shawnee neighborhood claimed the life of a 32-year-old man on Saturday afternoon. LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell confirmed that the police responded to the shooting at the 399 block of Shawnee Terrace, located near Northwestern Parkway, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Sadly, the victim, identified as Christopher Salmon, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office verified the identity of the deceased as Christopher Salmon.

As the community reels from the loss, LMPD’s Homicide Unit has taken charge of the investigation to uncover the circumstances and motives behind the fatal shooting. As of now, there are no known suspects in the case.
