The death of a care home worker who passed out and died after stopping an intruder was a murder.
The San Jose Police Department said in a May 10 news statement that Alex Albetria helped hold down an intruder who was attacking staff at a care facility in San Jose on Dec. 11.
After police caught the intruder for burglary and assault, Albetria “collapsed from the physical exertion of restraining the suspect,” police said. He was taken to the hospital, where he was said to be dead.
