Shooting Injures 3 People in South Philadelphia

Police in Philadelphia are looking into a shooting that happened on Monday night and injured three individuals. On the 600 block of Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia, it occurred around 6:34 o’clock. According to police, a 32-year-old male had his leg shot.

He was brought to a local hospital and given a critical status. A further two people, a 29-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman, were hurt. The conditions of both victims were declared stable.

When Action News arrived on the scene, evidence markers were dispersed all over the street. According to the police, some of the bullets struck a nearby storefront and a car window. A pair that was nearly caught in the crossfire spoke with Action News.

“I heard gunshots. I turn around, I saw a white van, two guys started shooting towards the smoke shop and I just grabbed my wife and ran to the corner,” recalled one man.

“I think they fired probably 30 shots.” There have been no detentions. No other information about the shooting has been made public.
