A 21-year-old woman from Riverdale faces three counts of attempted first-degree murder after a shooting incident at a South Side liquor store that left four people injured.
The backstory: Police said they arrested Angeles Flores on Friday in the 1600 block of West Congress Parkway. She was identified as one of the shooters in the incident that took place in the 1900 block of West 51st Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
According to police, the shooting occurred when an altercation inside the store erupted. Flores allegedly fired a gun, and another male suspect in her group also opened fire. Another man then returned fire, and the culprits escaped.
Flores was among those shot, with gunshot wounds in her heel and thigh. She drove herself to Rush Hospital and was classified in good condition.
The other victims were a 48-year-old guy shot in the abdomen, a 22-year-old male shot in the chest, a 61-year-old woman with a grazing wound to her elbow, and a 46-year-old man shot in the hand.
Flores faces additional charges for firing a gun into a building where people were present. A detention hearing for Flores is set to take place on Sunday at the Leighton Criminal Court Building.
