2012 Honda Civic Same Price As 2011 Honda Civic

Amid all the disconcerting rising inflation trends of late, Honda has surprised everyone with the announcement of their 2012 Honda Civic pricing at the New York Auto Show. Honda is keeping the price of their base model 2012 Honda Civic DX the same as it was for their 2011 Honda Civic DX. At least Honda is doing their best to keep that nasty core inflation in check.

The 2012 Honda Civic DX price was announced today, at a reasonable $16,555 including those nasty destination charges. The Civic DX has long been a best seller due to its pricing, styling, reliability, and it’s stable resale value. The Civic DX has been redesigned for 2012.

Along with the DX, Honda announced pricing on the Honda Civic HF ($20,205), a highly anticipated “high fuel economy” version, and the higher end Honda Civic EX-L sedan ($24,202) with nav and satellite radio. The 2012 Honda Civic HF is reported to have 5% better fuel economy than the DX, but for $3,600 more, we’ll let you figure out the math to determine whether that’s money well spent. But with gas expected to average more than $4.00 per gallon this summer, it may make the HF a more attractive option.

They also kept the 2012 Civic Si pricing in line with last year at a price of $23,155 for the sedan, and $22,995 for the 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe. The 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid came in at $24,800, only $100 more than last years model. Unfortunately, Honda failed to provide pricing on the new 2012 Natural Gas model, expected to get 38 mpg highway.
