The quest of Hollywo od veteran actor Mel Gibson to rebuilt his damaged reputation can now move forward after he recently settled his financial and settlement dispute with his former girlfriend Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva. According to reports, after more than a year of fighting which was magnified in the media both Gibson and Grigorieva have agreed to peacefully end their conflict after days of negotiation.
At the moment the actual monetary settlement had yet to be announced including the custody of their infant daughter. The reported settlement was confirmed by Gibson spokesman Alan Nierob who said the veteran actor is very happy with the outcome of his legal battle with his former girlfriend. It can be recalled that the fight of the two became a media sensation after thew “Braveheart” star was charged for misdemeanor domestic battery after a 2010 fight with Grigorieva.
The feud of the further escalated after recordings of racist and sexist rants by Gibson were lea ked to the celebrity website RadarOnline.com. Nierob is confident now that the feud of his boss with Grigorieva is over he can get back to his feet again and get the public trust on him. Since his lead starring role in the hit Mad Max and Lethal Weapon series, Gibson went on to direct and star in the Academy Award-winning Braveheart. In 2004, he directed and produced The Passion of the Christ, a controversial, yet successful, film portraying the last hours in the life of Jesus.
