Manny Pacquiao Starts Training For Nov. 12 Bout With Juan Manuel Marquez

To ensure he will win his third meeting with his arch-rival Mexican boxing star Juan Manuel Marquez, Filipino boxing superstar Manny “Pacman” has started tra ining for their forthcoming fight on November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Pacquiao already started light training for his fight with Marquez 10 weeks before their meeting by doing some jugging and light workshop at the Planet Jupiter Gym in Makati City, Philippines.

In his training, Pacquiao went  five rounds on the punchmitts, worked on the two-ball and the speed ball, skipped rope and did his usual abdominal exercises. The top pound for pound boxer in the world today said he decided to start early in his training because he knew, Marquez is dead serious on beating him on their third meeting. Pacquaio said he does not want to disappoint the professional boxing fans who will watch the fight by giving his 110 percent come fight night.

He said although he already beaten Marquez in their second fight, he needs to train hard for their fight since Marquez remains a dangerous fighter at 38 years old. The two fought to a draw in their first fight. T he boxing superstar said he had fought Marquez twice and he already  knew how to beat him in their third meeting. According to reports, Pacquiao and Marquez will fight at the catch-weight of 144 pounds.

Marquez for his part said he will do his best to defeat Pacquiao in their fight and avenge his earlier loss against him. This early, boxing experts consider the Pacquiao-Marquez as strong candidate for fight of the year for 2011.
