Today, Mazda North America announced plans to unveil the 2013 CX5 at the Los Angeles Auto Show which runs from November 18 through November 27, 2011. The CX5 is Mazda’s first SkyActive Technology vehicle which boasts greatly improved fuel efficiency and emissions reductions.
The Mazda CX5 is a highly acclaimed crossover SUV with interesting and unique lines and front end. It is based on the MINAGI Concept which was unveiled this past March at the Geneva Motor Show. While the crossover SUV market is super competitive, Mazda is expected to grab a large foothold thanks to the highly efficient SKYACTIV engine and drivetrain.
The Mazda CX5 also boasts an optional diesel engine that is highly regarded and anticipated in the European market. Mazda has still not confirmed whether the diesel CX5 will be sold in the United States or Canada.
