Clerk Busted For Stealing $1M From NY Archdiocese

Authorities arrested a clerk for allegedly stealing some one million dollar from the Archdiocese of New York city. Anita Collins has already been indicted for manipulating the church’s accounts payable system to steal money from her employers.

A bail of $750,000 has been set against Collins for her grand larceny and other charges. It was learned that the suspect deposited the money she stole to the bank account of one of her sons. Before her arrest, Collins had also been previously convicted for stealing money from her past employers. The Archdiocese of New York city said they are now conducting a thorough  pre-employment background checks  on their workers to avoid a similar incident from happening again.
