Interpol Bust 23 Alleged Anonymous Hackers

The International Police made a huge headway on its quest to arrest the members of the deadly Anonymous hacker movement which hacked several well-established websites around the world. The Interpol revealed they recently arrested 25 members of the group in an intensified crackdown across Europe and South America.

In a statement, the Interpol said they arrested Anonymous hacker members in the counties of Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Spain. Authorities said the age of the suspects ranges from 17 to 40 years old. The Interpol bared the arrest came after their intensive investigation starting in mid-February that lead to the seizure of 250 items of IT equipment and mobile phones in searches of 40 premises in 15 cities.

Moreover, the Interpol said the arrested suspects were charged for altering websites, including that of Chile’s National Library, and e ngaging in denial-of-service attacks on
websites of the electricity companies Endesa and Hidroaysen.  If found guilty to their crime, the hackers will stay in jail from 541 days to five years.
