15 Dogs Seized After Man D!es in Attack

Police have taken 15 dogs into custody, including 9 puppies, as part of their investigation into a Thursday attack that claimed the life of a 37-year-old man.

Jonathan Hogg, who was kIlled in hospital after being seriously injured in a dog attack at around 9.10 p.m. on Thursday in Leigh, Greater Manchester, was remembered by his family as a “well-loved, sensitive, and kind person.”

Six adults and nine puppies were among the 15 canines that were found when officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) investigated two homes and are thought to be of the same breed as the dog that attacked Mr. Hogg.

GMP said that two people were detained in connection with the incident yesterday (May 19).

A 24-year-old guy was detained on suspicion of being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control and was responsible for injuries and fatalities.

An individual, 22, was detained on suspicion of money laundering.

Detective Chief Inspector John Davies of the GMP stated: “GMP police inspected two premises and confiscated 15 dogs—six adults and nine puppies—that were thought to be of the same breed as the one that attacked Jonathan.

These canines are currently receiving care at a specialized facility.

Items worth a total of £37,500 that are thought to be the proceeds of crime have been confiscated.

Jonathan was a beloved, sensitive, and kind person who will never know how loved and cherished he was by everyone who knew him, his family said in a memorial made public after Mr. Hogg passed away early on Friday.

“We have been inundated with messages of support and we ask for privacy at this time to come to terms with our loss.”
