Police Identify Suspect in Edmonds Grocery Shop Carjacking

Police in Edmonds have found the person they think killed a man with a knife during a carjacking on Wednesday night.

Ian S. Bramel-Allen is a white man who is 43 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray hat, gray tights, blue jeans, and brown boots. Bramel-Allen may have been near Seattle’s Volunteer Park, where the victim’s stolen Kia Sorento was found on Thursday morning by Seattle police.

“We think (Bramel-Allen) was last seen near Volunteer Park because that’s where the car was,” said Edmonds PD Commander Josh McClure. “But we don’t know for sure that he dropped off the car.” “This doesn’t look like something that just happened. It does look like there is a link between the victim and the suspect.”

At about 8:45 p.m., the 37-year-old victim was stabbed in the parking lot of Winco Foods near Highway 99 and 220th Street Southwest.

A witness told KIRO 7 that he and other people tried to help the person who was hurt.

“He told me, ‘You can’t stab people in the chest!'” “Then it kind of told me and another man who was coming down that we should go down there and find out what’s going on,” John Coyle said. “We went there and found him lying on his stomach. So we just kind of turned him over and tried to put some pressure on his chest.”

Edmonds police say they have a good reason to believe Bramel-Allen committed first-degree murder and should be arrested. Police are telling people who see him to stay away from him and instead call 911.

Anyone who knows where Bramel-Allen is or has information about the case is asked to send an email to [email protected] or call the Edmonds PD at 425-771-0200 and say that you have information about case #23-7966.
