At Least 9 Shot in a ‘Targeted and Isolated Incident’ in San Francisco’s Mission District

At least nine people were shot on Friday in San Francisco’s Mission District, which cops say was a “targeted and isolated incident.”

A statement from Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital on Saturday night said that one of the nine people who were taken to the hospital is in serious condition. Seven are in very bad shape, and one is doing well and has been sent home.

Officer Eve Laokwansathitaya of the San Francisco Police Department said at a news conference that the killing happened while “some sort of block party” was going on.

The tweet below verifies the news:

Around 9 p.m. local time, police were called to the Mission District at the corner of 24th and Treat St.

In a statement, police said, “When officers got to the scene, they found multiple people with gunshot wounds.” “Officers sent medics to the scene to treat the victims and take them to hospitals in the area.”

The hospital said that of the nine people who were hurt, eight were guys and one was a woman. Their ages ranged from 20 to 34.

Authorities said there were no arrests right away.
