On Sunday (30 April), the Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported that four persons had been killed in a shooting incident near Mojave, California.
Lt. Daniel Perez of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office stated that around 11:20 p.m., deputies were sent to the 15900 block of H Street in response to reports of a “violent assault” that had occurred there.
The sheriff’s department’s public relations officer told ABC News that all four victims were killed by head shots. The bodies of two adult females and one adult male were found and later declared deceased.
A fourth adult female was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead. Pending positive identification of all victims and notification of next of kin, the Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the identities of the victims.
There is no imminent threat to the neighborhood, according to investigators, who did not name a suspect but spoke to The Los Angeles Times.
An RV in a gravel lot off Highway 14 is where the incident occurred, per a report from the Los Angeles Times. The town of Mojave is located in eastern California, roughly 50 miles from Bakersfield.
