Chicago police and fire officials say at least five individuals were shot and are in serious condition on Sunday night in the Roseland neighborhood.
The Chicago Police Department reports that at least five persons were shot around West 99th Street and South Princeton Avenue; as of Sunday night, the victims’ conditions remained unknown.
According to initial reports from the Chicago Fire Department, at least one person has died and five others are in critical condition. Fire officials refused to confirm a fatality despite repeated demands for information.
