Delaware State Police say that on Friday afternoon, a teen was shot multiple times at an apartment complex in Laurel. The girl later died.
At 2:40 p.m., someone shot near the 100 block of Sunset Drive in the Wexford Village Apartments. The Laurel Police Department went to the scene.
When the police got there, they found the victim behind one of the apartment buildings with several gunshot wounds. Before the paramedics came, the officers started CPR.
The teen was taken to a local and declared dead.
Police haven’t said anything about the victim other than that he or she is a teenager until the family has been told.
The Laurel Police Department asked the Delaware State Police to take over the case, which they have done. Police say that there are no suspects at this time.
