A traffic stop in Texas took an unexpected turn earlier this week when Brandon Lee White, a 39-year-old resident of Trotwood, was apprehended by the Nacogdoches Police Department K9 Unit for a routine traffic violation.
The incident occurred around 9:40 a.m. on Thursday on NW Stallings Drive. Upon stopping White’s vehicle, officers obtained consent to conduct a search. What followed was a significant discovery that would lead to White’s arrest.
Hamer, the NPD’s newest K9, signaled the presence of suspicious substances within the vehicle. Subsequent investigation revealed an astonishing 25.8 pounds of cocaine concealed within a custom-made storage compartment in the vehicle.

The police department promptly arrested White and took him into custody. He now faces a serious legal predicament, having been booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on a Felony 1 charge for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
