Fans of the Vinland Saga are accustomed to difficulty, and not just because of all that Thorfinn Thordarson has gone through in this truly epic saga.
Fans endured a four-year wait for season two after season one arrived on our shores in 2019. But wow, was the wait worthwhile. While non-academic anime fans (and rightfully so) gush over programs like Demon Slayer, experts will be the first to point out how unique Vinland Saga is, especially with this nearly flawless second season.

Vinland Saga Season 3 Release Date
Vinland Saga had its 2019 premiere, however the second season wasn’t fully released until this year until it was formally revealed in 2022. In light of the likelihood that there won’t be another annoying COVID-related delay, a third season may not be confirmed until 2024 for a 2025 release.
There are still many stories to be told in a third season and even farther because just a small portion of Makoto Yukimura’s original manga has been adapted thus far. So let’s hope for a renewal that truly occurs.

Expect to see the majority of these Japanese and English voice performers return in Vinland Saga season three, barring any production-related issues:

Even characters who were previously believed to be dead may reappear in flashbacks or terrifying dream sequences, which this show simply cannot get enough of.

Vinland Saga Season 3 Plot
Season three should chronicle Thorfinn and Einar’s voyage in the Eastern Expedition Arc after they first met as slaves on the Ketil farm in season two, providing the show keeps according to the original manga as faithfully as it has so far.
Without giving too much away, we can say that the third part will jump four years in time and take place in Greece. Thorfinn and Einar intend to work together to amass sufficient riches and resources to found their own country that is finally free from war, but as one might anticipate, it won’t be an easy process.
But if anyone can pull it off, it’s #Thornar, our favorite bromance, as we’ll call them from now on.
