Deadline had previously reported that the streaming service has plans to renew the show for a second season beginning in 2023, and those plans came to fruition on Wednesday. According to Deadline, the renewal was also likely because Netflix executives were “actively searching for writers to join the writers’ room” and “scouting locations for the next chapter of the series.” Not-ed!
Wednesday Season 2 Release Date Rumors
Our best bet is that Wednesday will return in 2024, given the show’s intensive production cycle for season one (it takes about a year to get from filming to streaming) and the high demand for Ortega’s talents.
