Britney Joy, who became famous on the app TikTok, died in a car crash with her mother while they were on their way to a Juneteenth party in Texas.
The 35-year-old woman, whose real name was Britney Murphy, had just left her sister’s house with her mother, Sherie Smith, 60, when the terrible accident happened, according to ABC13.
“I will always miss my mom and my sister. They were the best people I knew. Cofield told the outlet, “They were everything.”
“It looked like her car, and when I walked up, everyone said a mother and daughter had died. I knew they had left, so the only mother and daughter would be my mother and sister.”
Police in Houston said that the social media star was driving when a truck hit the car she and her mother were in.

Carl Eiswerth, another popular TikTok star, died in a car crash on June 13, just days before Britney’s death.
He was 35.
Janet, his mother, told TMZ that Eiswerth was in the passenger seat of a car he was driving with a friend when another car hit them at an intersection.
Before he died, the content creator had nearly 500,000 followers on TikTok, where he often shared funny videos of himself and dancing videos.

Britney’s Sister, Tiffany Smith Cofield, is Raising Funds for the Funerals via a GoFundme Page
The Smith family was not ready for Britney and Sherie to die, so they are asking for money from other people.
“We weren’t ready to have to bury both my sister and my mother at the same time,” Tiffany said on a GoFundMe page. “This happened so quickly, and losing my best friends was something I could never have thought of. Please think about giving what you can. Everything helps.”
Tiffany went on to say that the family wants to “celebrate her and my mother’s lives by having a memorial service for both of them.”
The GoFundMe page says that its goal is to raise $100,000. As of this writing, nearly 4,000 people have given close to $70,000 to the page.
Britney was able to make a lot of people laugh with her POV and GRWM videos, in which she talked about her favorite goods and said funny things about them. The person who made it gained more than 400,000 fans.
