Who Is Teresa Wierson? All About ‘Elvira’Star Cassandra Peterson’s Partner

In 2021, Cassandra Peterson—better known as horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark—confirmed rumors that she was in a serious relationship with Teresa Wierson, her former personal trainer.

Her memoir, Yours Cruelly, Elvira: Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark, came out, and she hasn’t been able to stop talking about how much she loved her partner at that time.

Peterson told Variety, “It feels fantastic to be able to present her as my partner and to be able to hold hands.” It was fun to walk along the beach in Hawaii, holding hands and pretending we were a couple for the first time.

Here’s all you need to know about Teresa “T” Wierson, from her history as a trainer to her friendship with Peterson.

Who is Cassandra Peterson’s Partner Teresa Wierson?

There isn’t much out there about Teresa Wierson, but Cassandra claims she worked as a trainer at a Gold’s Gym.

She says she couldn’t help but notice one of the trainers, a man, while she was performing her pre-workout warm-up on the treadmill.

Once she learned that Teresa was a female, she and Teresa became fast friends.

After working as Cassandra’s secretary for a while, Teresa eventually became her long-term companion.

Teresa Wierson Met Peterson At Gold’s Gym In Hollywood

Teresa Wierson was a trainer at a Gold’s Gym in Hollywood, where the couple first crossed paths. Peterson admits in her book that she first saw Wierson as a “sexy, dangerous boy.”

She recalled, “I couldn’t help but notice one particular trainer—tan, tattooed, and muscular—stalking across the gym floor, knit cap pulled so low over his long brown hair that it practically obscured his eyes” as she warmed up on the treadmill.

“Typical of sexy bad boys everywhere, he had no idea his magnetism had won him an unofficial fan club. Time flew by as I watched him from the comfort of my treadmill, increasing my heart rate.”

Peterson quickly got friends with the object of her affection after discovering in the restroom that the target was a female.

Teresa Wierson Is A Former Bodybuilder

Peterson writes in his autobiography that Wierson used to be a bodybuilder, cyclist, and track and field athlete.

Peterson said that despite Wierson’s gruff exterior, she was “an extremely nice girl.” Wierson was a bodybuilder, track runner, and cyclist.

Teresa Wierson Moved In With Peterson In 2003

Shortly after the actress’s divorce from ex-husband Mark Pierson, she and her longtime buddy Peterson moved in together. Peterson described having Wierson around as “a big relief” as the two of them were going through their difficulties.

Peterson described her trainer, T, as seeming “sad and bedraggled” as she stood on the doorstep with a trash bag full of her stuff. She had broken up with her long-term partner, gone to rehab, and found herself homeless.

She recalled their time together thusly: “In the evenings, Peterson, her daughter Sadie, and Wierson would help me prepare supper, and we would all laugh, cook, sing, and dance around the kitchen.”

Teresa Wierson And Peterson Kept Their Relationship A Secret For 19 Years

Peterson and Wierson hid their relationship for nearly two decades, just coming out in 2021. Peterson said that she has been with her lover for 19 years in her memoir, Yours Cruelly, Elvira: Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark.

Peterson: “As Cassandra, it wouldn’t have mattered to me that people knew about our connection, but I felt the need to protect Elvira in order to keep my job alive. I was afraid that if I came out as bisexual, my followers would feel betrayed, call me a hypocrite, and forsake me since “Elvira has always had a thing for men, and men have a thing for her.”

Peterson stated she received 60,000 new followers in the same time period she lost 11,000 after she came out as a member of the LGBTQ community.

“It’s much better to stop trying to hide who you really are and simply enjoy being yourself. If I still haven’t figured it out by the time I’m 70, I’m in huge trouble. Many have questioned, “why now?” Because, as I always say, “If not now, when?” As in, “When I’m 100? “when the book was published, she said.
